Case Study - Dolphin Square Equipment Update Programme



A prestigious residential building

Dolphin Square is a prestigious residential building in the heart of London consisting of 13 mid-rise blocks around a central square with retail and conference facilities. Each block has its own lift service arranged as a duplex , consisting of original Otis equipment, installed circa 1970. As part of the service provision MKM were asked to provide proposals and a programme to update the lift equipment across the estate.


Minimum disruption

Each block consists of a pair of passenger lifts serving the residential floors, the challenge was to replace the aging lift equipment with new state of the art equipment with the minimum of disruption to both the lift service and the living environment of the residents.


Exceptional reliability

As part of the close relationship forged through the service provision, we were familiar with the equipment and the demanding customer requirements. Through close co-operation with both supplier and end user we were able to present a phased programmed plan to upgrade the equipment.

The new equipment fully integrates with the retained 1970’s components, while still providing state-of-the-art lifts providing exceptional reliability with open protocol UK sourced equipment. The modernisation programme is on-going, to date nine lifts have been fully modernised.
